1 week in!

Hey everyone!!

Okay I have been rubbish with updating, so I'm going to try and remember this past week now! The flight over was fine, we were 50 minutes late but thats nothing compared to the cancelled one the day before!! I met Emma and Sabrina at the airport and we all hung out! landed into orlando then headed straight for dinner!! went to a bar called UNO Chicago which had an entire gluten free menu, was gorgeous! Then sunday we headed to seaworld!!

Seaworld <3! Loved it, such a fab day!! We saw the manatees (of course!) watched the Believe show, won a penguin each, and just hung out! Was really good fun with everyone!! Sunday evening we headed out again for some food, and just fun times!!

Monday, was hilarious!! We decided to go to florida mall, which is just fantastic! Spent a bit to much money, but my favourite shop had 30% off the sale price, so got some gorgeous tops for like $7!! We then went home to meet Emily and Anna who had just landed from the UK! And headed for dinner at a random irish bar, the Tilted Kilt. So we ate then everyone left as the girls were tired, and the others had to get home. FUNNIEST. NIGHT. EVER!! We ended up, me Arran, Emma and Sabrina sitting at the bar for about 6 hours, just chatting and having a giggle!! It was so so funny!! I don't even remember the crap we were coming out with, but I know it was amazing!!!

Tuesday - moved into housing!

Since then things have been crazy and I haven't updated in the longest of time! I have had my merchandise training and am now in rotation! It is pretty simple, the biggest issue is remembering all of the different discount cards, and what to do if something goes wrong - but that is something which will come with time! Everyone is lovely, and there have been some amazing nights out... with not so amazing days afterwards!! I had my throw in to the UK pavilion which was really good fun!! Just if your coming out make sure you bring around $10 with you incase everyone goes to IHOP after!! I have just had social security which is a killer, so am going to head to bed for a few hours of sleep, then head off to work later on for a close!!!

4 days!

I move to Orlando in 4 days time!! It's crazy how fast everything has gone! I remember Katherine and Jenna saying it went crazily fast and not believing them!

I've had an amazing few weeks! Finished up at work, and then have spent alot of time with my family and friends! My parents threw me an Disney themed going away party which was A-MAZ-ING!! Everyone looked amazing, and there was so much effort put into the costumes!  We had the seven dwarfs, Wall-E, Cruella, Dalmations, The Incredibles. A brilliant brilliant night!

So I am now visiting my boyfriend in Wales, and the snow has arrived.... I cannot wait for the sunshine state temperatures right now!! Just fingers crossed it eases off a little by Saturday! Heading home tomorrow, going to be one heck of a horrible goodbye, but he is booking his flights out to visit soon so thats something to look forward to for us both :). Then I guess I should probably get home and pack... haven't even made my list yet... whoopsy! It's just so differcult to try and judge what your going to need, but I guess it is only Orlando, anything I forget I can get out there!!

One thing to make sure you do before you go is your P85 form for the tax office - its not as bad as it looks, but it will save a lot of hassle when you get back from the states, I just did mine now, so its all ready to post once my P45 comes through the post! Also informing the student loan company, saves you getting wacked with a fine on your return to the UK!!

So that's me done until I reach the USofA!! Eeeeep!!! xx

Just over two weeks to go!!

How crazy is that?! Two weeks on Saturday I will be at the airport ready to drop my bags and go!! The last few weeks have been hectic, I've managed to get a temping job, so means I can get rid of some of my student overdraft before I go, it's a nice feeling! I am now allowing myself to get excited as the one thing I was dreading was over yesterday (a trip to the dentist) so now it's all systems go for Florida!

We had another Disney Day a few weeks ago! Some of us 7th December's all meet up in London! It was a fab day, very random!! We had lunch at Spoons in L. Square, and a few drinks, of course!! Then it was off to the London Dungeon thanks to Anna and her vouchers!! It was such a funny experience, I discovered that yes, I am still scared of Jack the Ripper, and Benn is a total wimp!!! Haha!!

I also had the non-refundable fee payment e-mail.... I was expecting abit of a hassle like with the DS-160 form, but it was a doddle! Took about 2 minutes to pay!

So now it's just hanging out with friends and family, and I guess I should start to think about my packing.... hmmmm!!

Haley's favorite Disney memory Disney World DisneyLand Peter Pan Mickey ...

So, to get me excited for life as a castmember Arran sent me this clip - this girl is adorable! It is the cutest thing you'll ever see! It is amazing (and scary at the same time) how much one castmember can affect someone's entire memory of visiting WDW!!

Just over a month to go!

I have been terrible with keeping up with my blog! Things have been crazy over the past few weeks//months! Where to begin? So I guess with the fact I have my visa!! The process wasn't as scary as I thought, the worst part was filling in the DS-160 form online. It was the most stressful two hours of my life! I need to apologise to my brother who made the terrible mistake of asking me a question half way through, which nearly resulted in me crying for about half an hour!!

The form itself - well, the main issue is with timing out -- which it did, ALOT! It says that if you are inactive for 20 minutes then this will happen, but that's not so true, more like 5! Luckily you can log back in, but just make sure you save, save, save! There are also some questions which you don't expect, such as when/if have you visited the United States & for how long.... we also worked out that ((at the time that I filled the form)) the school questions only apply to males.... strangely.....

So anyway, once your DS160 is complete, and you have your printout's it is visa time! Now unless you are Nate (ha you got your mention :P) then hopefully you will be in and out quickly, but be advised, get the earliest appointment possible! I was at 8am, and was done by 9am... with alittle bit of chatting with other CRP'ers inbetween! The interview was nice and simple, the interview himself was lovely, nice American twang to get you in the mood for the year away!!

So other than that I've just been working alot, managed to get a temping job! There have been a few Disney meet-ups around visa appointment days which have been lovely! Have met some gorgeous people who I know I'm going to have a blast with!!!

So I guess now I've just got to wait, am still needing to pay my non-refundable fee which seems like it will be around 3 weeks before your departure date, the rest I guess is just nerves/excitement/adrenalin/fear all wrapped up into one!!!!

104 days.....

YEAH!! So I totally have a countdown going on till the day I fly....((Courtesy of facebook countdowns, I salute you...)) It is indeed 104 days until I fly to Orlando, and therefore 107 days till I move into my home for that coming year **come on the commons**...

So where to start? I guess the reason as to why I have created this amazing space for my intellectual and original thoughts(?!?!) mainly, so that my mummy and daddy can keep track on where I am//what I'm doing! Also, I like to jump on bandwagons... :)

Things have been totally crazy since I found out I was going to WDW, I was on the waitlist for a grand total of 145 days before I found out I had a position in Merchandise at the UK Pavilion, and these past three weeks have been crazy!! I have been lucky enough to have the fan-dooby help of the Yummy Job team, and have my flight, insurance, CRB and first nights accomodation in Orlando all booked and paid for!! So now it's time to relax until my Visa forms come through, which should be a while now!!

So anyway, I will update as things happen, but at the moment it's really just me annoying my friends and family till they want to pull out their hair ((and mine)) because... I'M MOVING TO DISNEYWORLD IN 104 DAYSSSS!!!!
